Hi MaxTech,

Are you trying to install VBA enabler for AutoCAD 2011?

You can download it from this location:

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=14889082&linkID=9240617

Starting with AutoCAD 2010, VBA is no longer part of the default AutoCAD installation and must be downloaded and installed separately.

By the way, eval.msi normally resides in [SetupRes] folder and it is not meant to be installed.

Anyway, you should always install the product using the Setup.exe in the root of the install media.

Thanks.

Regards,

Min Keng

Hi MaxTech,

Please don't double click on eval.msi to install as mentioned earlier.

If you are looking for VBA enabler, please download it from:

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=12715668&linkID=9240618

In this page, please download AutoCAD 2011 VBA module 32-bit (exe - 72064Kb) and execute it from there.

Autodesk has begun the transition of VB customization from VBA to .NET technology. This transition will occur over a few years. During this time, Autodesk will provide documentation and other assistance to help our customers and developers migrate from VBA to this new automation technology. Starting with AutoCAD 2010, VBA is no longer part of the default AutoCAD installation and must be downloaded and installed separately. If you utilize VBA macros in your work environment, they will no longer work unless the VBA module is installed on your system.

Refer to this link for more information:

Hello!

I also I have the same problem but with Autodesk 3ds Max 2011.

When installation is finalizing two windows appear: the first is called "Setup Initialization" and the second contains the following error:
"The system can not find the file specified"
C 😕 Autodesk/Autodesk_3ds_Max_2011_English_Win_32-64bit/SetupRes/eval.msi

My system Windows XP SP3

I would be very grateful if someone could help me on this site.

Greetings!
