Could be that Windows sees what version of ACAD the last save was and
associates the appropriate version. Until recently I had 2005 through 2008
on my PC and such was the case.

I've noticed that windows is showing me two different icons for Autocad

I do have both AE2005 and AE2007 installed, but all the files are actually
in 2000 format. Haven't used 2007 on this particular computer.
