Custom User Interface - Macro Help

I have created a toolbar for different wire sizes using the custom user interface menu. I am having problems (at a loss) with how to create the proper macro.

Button Info:
Name: #4_AWG
Desc: #4

When clicking on button I would like the wire to be put on Color Layer 86, name of the layer is #4.

Thanks in advance!

Have you looked at the API help? I see a function that may do what you are looking to accomplish

(c:ace_new_wiretype "DC-WIRE" (list "WIRE COLOR" "BL" "SIZE" "16AWG" "_COLOR" "BLUE" "_LTYPE" "DASHED" "_LWEIGHT" "2.5") nil)

But If you all ready have the layer created and assigned as a valid ACE wire layer just set the layer current and draw the line.
like: ^C^C-layer;set;field_wire;;_line
