conmponent tag problem

Hi!

 I have a small but annoying problem. When i put a new component on my drawing and change it's component tag (ex: F1), when i close the edit window, component's tag changes automatically to "-F1". In the edit component window the component tag appears without the "-" sign, but when i close the window, on the drawing it has the "-" sing. I've looked in the drawing properties , and the component tag format has no "-" sign. Anyone suggestions? Thx for the help.

P.S.: Any books or manuals for beginner autocad electrical users ?

If you are using the IEC library, Right click your project, go to the project properties,(not just the drawing properties for that drawing) ,under the components tab.

On the Component TAG options, check the suppress dash when first character of tag option.
