Component Insert

I have recently installed 2007 and now when I insert a component I get a dash in front of the Family Code. This did not start until I started using 2007. I am using the same templates that I used in 2006. This will even happen when I SCOOT a wire circuit to a new line number. It will ask me to retag the components and it reinserts the dash. This is a bit confusing and I haven't been able to figure out where this is coming from. Any clues?

Thanks,
Justin

Try this and see if it works for you...
1. Right-click on your active project's name in the Project Manager window
and select "Properties".
2. Select the "Components" tag.
3. Now look for a toggle about half-way down "Suppress dash when first
character of tag". Turn this ON.

Thanks, Nate! That works great!
I do have another question though! My wire numbers for my ladders are set up as "sheet and wire numbers", in 2006 when I opened up the drawing properties and changed the sheet number and clicked "OK" the wire numbers updated automatically. In 2007 they do not. Why?

Thanks,
Justin

Justin,

This is an issue that has been logged. The workaround for this for now is
to run Revise Ladder after changing the sheet number for the drawing.

Regards,
Mike
