Component database lookup problem

When doing a component lookup from a schematic symbol, Not all the compents in the table show up. Even after removing filters.

This WAS working before, but obviously something has been changed. Can't put my finger on it.

Hi Chris,

2 things for you to check.

1. Make sure you have installed all of the manufacturers.

a. Open control Panel

b. Open  Add/ remove programs

c. Find AutoCAD Electrical  right click and select Unistall/Change

d. Select Add/ Remove features from the dialog box that opens

e.  Make sure you have all of them Checked, if not select them and update the installation.

2. Make sure you are not pointing to a secondary catalog (check in the project to see if its pointing to one).

Check those first, make sure everything is loaded, and that you don't have a secondary catalog.

If everything looks ok, it could be an issue where its looking at the wrong Default_cat.MDB.

let me know,

Regards,

We do have the manufacturers installed.

Some other items from the same manufacturer ARE showing up.

When I go into the editing dialog, I can see the ALL the parts I'm looking for on the Catalog list.

Not pointing to a secondary file either.

Seems like it might be related to the schematic symbol.

Check your active catalog lookup under Settings to see if it is pointing to the default catalog mdb or the correct catalog database you are using. You maybe using a different custom catalog database.

Hope this helps.
