Catalog and Component Descriptions/Abbreviations Explained!

Default_cat.mdb contains table abbreviations for every component in ACADE. I think everyone has questions when it comes to the abbreviation for component names and familty codes. A google search resulted in the following link which describes all of the component abbreviations!

However, I cannot seem to trace this back to the original discussion where this resulted from. Does anyone know the source of this file and are they correct?

That file's properties is marked Dave Shood. He's a contributer to this
discussion group, "dlshood".
