BOM not correct

This may be similar to my source destination not updating issue
I edit a part on a drawing and choose a new catalog number.
If I then do a bom report on that page, it still shows the old part number.
I have to manually force a full rebuild of my project in order for the correct part number to show up in the BOM report.

(I still have SDI set to 1)

acadefan,
I have seen this problem with a few things. What version of Acad E are you using. One thing that should fix this is if you do a next or previous page, then come back to that page and do the report. For some reason it sometimes seams like certain things don't write to the database write away.

I hope this helps

I upgraded from 2004.
I never saw this problem with 2004.

When you run the BOM report does it ask if you want to save your drawing?
You should answer yes so that the BOM report will work with the latest data
on your drawing. A save on your drawing automatically triggers an update to
the project database.

If you answer yes to save and the new information still does not show up you
may have a problem with updating the project database. I see that you are
experiencing problems in other areas as well. These could be related since
they rely on the project database being updated.

If you still have a problem I would like to see the drawing and the project
database at the time the report is run to see if I can determine what is
going on. You can run the report and then send me the drawing and the
project database directly to me at pat.murnen@autodesk.com. The project
database is located in your user folder which you can find by right-clicking
on your project name in the project manager, picking Settings and finding
the User subdirectory in the listing. The file itself will have the same
name as your project with a .mdb extension.

It does ask and I always click yes.
I tried recreating the problem with a small 2 page project, but have been unsuccessful.
Unfortunately I can't send you the project i am having the problem with as it is customer confidential.
When I recreate the problem on another project I will send that over.
Thanks for the help.

OK. I understand you can't post something confidential. If you ever
want/could send it to me directly I can take a look at it. My email is
pat.murnen@autodesk.com

I think I have found the solution to all my reporting problems at once, with Autodesk phone support last week.

The problem seems to have stemmed from running 2004 projects under 2006. It seems there is a forwards compatibility problem with the project .mdb files.
Once I deleted all 2004 project.mdb files all my reporting problems vanished, including this one.
