Hi,

You can go to Start -> Run, and run the following command to uninstall manually:

AutoCAD Electrical 2012 x64:
msiexec /x {5783F2D7-A007-0409-0102-0060B0CE6BBA}

AutoCAD Electrical 2012 x64 Language Pack:
msiexec /x {5783F2D7-A007-0409-1102-0060B0CE6BBA}

Please see if this resolves your problem.

For x86 users who may encounter the similar problem, you can run the following commands to uninstall:

AutoCAD Electrical 2012 x86
msiexec /x {5783F2D7-A007-0409-0102-0060B0CE6BBA}

AutoCAD Electrical 2012 x86 Language Pack.

msiexec /x {5783F2D7-A007-0409-1102-0060B0CE6BBA}

Hi,

In the %temp% folder, there should be a log file - "AutoCAD Electrical 2012 Install.log".

It is in the same folder as what you attached "AutoCAD Electrical 2012 Setup.log".

Can you please zip up the file and attached it?

Thanks.

Regards,

Min Keng

Hi,

From the install log file, it indicates it failed at:

MSI (s) (D8:1C) [22:13:47:228]: Product: AutoCAD Electrical 2012 -- Error 1402. Could not open key: UNKNOWN\Components\133B062FD83CDF84BAAA82C213E6A0EE\7D2F3875700A9040102000060BECB6AB.  System error 5.  Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.

Hi ALL

I am having a problem with ACE2012 and the plot style manager, so I am reading everything I can.

I know this thread is old but I feel I can offer an imput into a very intermittant problem.

This thread is interesting to me as I had this problem on either AC2000 or AC2002.  I was able to list the install program and there was an interesting switch in the install program.

Very early in the install the software sets a flag to say the software is intalled and then continues for a long time installing the software.

If the instal in not completed, like a black out during the install, I found it impossible to finish the install.

I reversed the switch and was able to finish the install and all worked well.

I sent a report off to AutoDESK but it seems like the problem has not been addressed as it would be very intermittant.

In all the operating systems I have been trained in (not Any windows) the last function to happen after the file is written is to up date the directory.

I have not looked into the install code since as in the later versions I could list the code.

Hope this helps   John Quigley
