In looking at the DN table (of the default_cat.mdb) supplied w/ ACE2005, it appears that there are a number of redundant PLC I/O module entries to that contained in the PLCIO table. One Example: In the DN table, for the "Type" = I/O, "Manufacturer" = AB, "Catalog" = 1794-* Flex I/O Series.
I am under the impression that this (DN) table is dedicated for miscellaneous PLC "Data Network" (is that what the DN stands for?) components such as I/O cables, racks, module terminal blocks, etc., but it is not clear as to why some of the I/O module records are duplicated here. Any insight appreciated.
