Thanks Nate, but I am quite aware of what it can do, as I had gone to the
website, downloaded their factoid PDFs etc. What is apparent to me is that
there is no ( 3D ) modeling, and that's the nature of my inquiry. Like I
inferred in my first post, it looks to me like a start, rather than a complete
package.

Some of what you list is already in the current shipping product including
cross-referencing of parent/child schematic devices (ex: coils/contacts),
linkage between schematic and physical representations of each control
device (ex: motor starter coil/contacts on schematics and physical
representations in a cabinet or MCC), part assignment intelligence, and
various types of BOM and wire/cable report extractions. It is "open" in that
if the content does not fully cover your needs, you can expand it. Since it
relies on standard AutoCAD block/attribute technology to create
"intelligent" schematic and physical panel/wiring diagram layout drawings...
you can create your own custom symbols sets, if desired, and integrate them
into the application.
