Title pretty much sums it up. I just switched jobs and I thought for sure this company would have standards set up in Electical for panel designs. But alas not to be. How do I get started with PLC panel designs? I just want to start with using the right parts so my panel layout is easier. I have been doing it by hand for too long.
Does anybody have some good resources to get started? I am about 6 hours deep into the YouTube rabbit hole but everything seems piecemeal and not all encompassing.
Have a look at this tutorial: https://customersuccess.autodesk.com/disciplines/electrical
I find that the Hitchhiker's Guide, found in HELP, is pretty useful for people who are new to AutoCAD Electrical. It's a broad overview of how the software is meant to function, from drawing the schematics to laying out the panels. It can help fill in lots of gaps of what you don't know about ACADE. Also, these forums are really probably the best single resource for specific questions so be sure to post here as you learn and run into roadblocks - and I promise the roadblocks are there. We'll get you together, though.
