Versions to retain in Vault

How about a switch to delete previous version unless labeled?
I consider my current backup scheme sufficient to account for those rare instances when a project needs to return to a previous state.
Or even a Max version to save pulldown that I can set.
Rather than me having to manually purge Vaults to conserve Server space.
I can swallow using twice as much or maybe even three times as much server space to hold my dwg's. But I don't want to spend the rest of my life purging vaults.
