Selective x-ref updates

I'm sure this is a "wish list" item, as I have never been able to find it.

If I change a linetype or color in a drawing, an existing topo file for example, I would like to be able to selectively update that layer's change in the drawing that it is x-ref'd into.  Without turning off VISRETAIN and losing all my other specifics like freezing/thawing, other layer colors & linetype specifics, and so on.

It's not my program to share here, else I would've. Go ahead and register, it's free and they don't send out spam. Plus there are a fair number of people there who don't come over here. There's a forum for mainly C3D (Land Lubbers) as well.
