PDF Underlay

I would love to be able to import a PDF as an underlay. I am so disappointed when the pdf enhacement service pack is available for many AutoCAD based programs, but not for Civil 3D.

Historically, those kinds of "bonus" enhancements
were released with the next version of AutoCAD as built-in features.  And
all of AutoCAD's built-in features are included with the verticals.  We
therefore can be optimistic that when the next version of Civil 3D is released
those features will be included.

Have you tried to import a PDF as an "ole"
object?
