Option to omit table tags from distance labels

Table tags in distances are great for parcel data, although when using the label lines/curves to layout concrete curb it's not so helpful.

We use R1,R2,R3...labels on curves and create curve schedules for the plans, but label the actual segmental distance for lines and do not create a schedule for line segments.

The problem is the R table tags are offset by the line segment table tags increment, leaving radius tag numbers unused and causing lots of confusion.

Are you saying that your Curve Labels are not incrementing properly due to
the tangent labels. This is not the case.

Hey Bill,

Thanks a lot for the reply. This is most certainly the case when using multiple segment mode as shown in the previously attached message.

If you have a solution and could post an example as I did, that would be great.

Thanks again.

Apparently I do not have a solution. I believe you have found a gremlin.
Notice in my .png that if I do line-curve-line-curve the curve tags number
properly but the line tags do not. Conversely if I have a
curve-line-curve-line the line tags are correct but the curve tags are not.

Maybe Jeff or sinc will have an answer.

Renumbering tags is fairly easy, BTW.

I don't know why this happens, but it's a strange one. Here's a fairly
simple workaround that seems to do the job.....

Label all of the lines/arcs with styles set to show the label. Then go back
and switch the curve style to show the tag....all the Tags will be as
desired.

Thanks a lot guys for looking into it, I was kinda baffled when I ran into it myself.

I agree it's a simple work around, but on a 1,000 acre site and triple-lined mountable curb, it's not so simple. It's much easier to just label them as single segments in the first place. Another nice feature would be the ability to only label arcs or only label lines.

The best options is having multiple options.

Thanks again for your time.
