Need robust commands to work with raw .LAS files, classified .LAS files, and more importantly .IMG files.  .IMG files have been industry standatd in LIDAR for almost 20 years.  Why does C3D not support?   Also, your classified .LAS routine does not separate classifications.

If you need tools now, take a look at MapWorks Surfaces, which has LAS tools and read support for Erdas Imagine (IMG) files.
