I want Plan and Profile to show actual Profile dwg

I don't like the way the Plan and Profile production tool creates and shows the profile.
It just cuts a chunk from the profile and only shows the Civil 3D data.
We add design data to the profile itself, such as utilities, buildings, conveyors, etc.
When the production tools creates the plan and profile drawings, we don't see the stuff we've added to the profile.
Is there a way to just make it xref the actual profile instead of having it redraw the profile in the plan and profile sheet????
This is making it hard to switch from Eagle Point to Civil 3D. I like Civil 3D, but Eagle Point handles profiles much better, I think.
Anyone have any suggestions other than making the plan and profile sheets manually?

I would agree that eaglepoint has some plan and profile features I would
like to be able to use in civil. I would like to be able to have the option
to make the profile grid fill the viewport. I would like to be able to move
the plan view, profile view or view frame and have the option to update the
other two views to match. On a very long profile these features would make
a big difference.
