FILEDIA default

How hard could it be for you guys to reset the crash FILEDIA Settings in your code?

Lets say Autodesk crashes, You open autodesk again and try to open a drawing and the Select File Dialog box will not come up because in the last crash the FILEDIA was automatically reset to 0.

I don't know a single soul that doesn't immediately type filedia at the command prompt and change it to 1. Why cant you save us the keystrokes and reset it for us in the programing code? because that would be a nice little change of a minor Annoyance .

Thanks,
Mark Reagan

What file dialog? Have you tried it (IGES) in 2009?

Have you tried entering ~ ?

The tilde should bring up the file dialog (old-school, but sometimes it
works when the file dialog is not showing up).

I have similar problem when I try to open an IGES file. I type in IGESIN
and get the command prompt. However, filedia doesn't work on this command.
How can I get past the command prompt so that I can open my IGES file?
