Watershed

I have made several watersheds and they look ok but there are way too many little basins.

I cant seem to make them less. I want to have 5 or 10. I am getting between 450 and 900

on my test drawing and it is a lot smaller area than I want to run. So how do I change my

settings to get a few very large basins.

I have changed my merge depression to all kinds of stuff and it doesnt seem to have any affect on the outcome

I have followed the tutorial and the book I have. It seems like I am missing something simple

Hope you find an answer as I have been wanting an easy merge watershed command for decades.

I was surprised that the subject of watersheds came up in the car ride with the Columbiettes Saturday.  The NYC transplants were saying they had never heard the term until they moved to the Poconos.  I did NOT start the conversation.
