Storm and Sanitary Analysis - Pumps??

I am attempting to use the Storm and Sanitary Analysis tool to evaluate a groundwater well to storage tank scenario.  Simplified a storage area node to another storage area node at a higher elevation.  I do not understand how the "pump" conveyance link is used with a "force main" conveyance link.  How do you link a pump to a long section of pipe or is this even possible?  Any sugeestions would be helpful. Thanks

Flow is calculated in Links, so, your pump would go from the wet well (storage node) to a calculation node (with a high enough surcharge elevation) before the forcemain (link) to the next pond.
