Overland Flow

At a junction node that you can add a ponding area so the flow isn’t lost to the system.  Can SSA route this excess flow through a storage area (i.e. a sump) and then overland (i.e. down the road) to another node?  The manual says that this can be done “explicity”.  Does that mean the sub-area needs to be broken up into two areas, one for the pipe flow and one for overland flow?  Is this a trial and error process then?

Explicitly just means that you have to create those items - from a surface connection (Inlet on grade) downstream to a stoage area, etc. together with your pipe network.

If I have an inlet in a sump and the runoff connected to it exceeds the inlet capacity, I would like the excess flow to first fill the sump and then overflow (i.e. over a wier)  to the next inlet.  How is this modeled?
