modelling area drains (no curb)

I am trying to set up a model for a large paved area with no curbs, just area drains.  i'd like to set up inlets as grate inlets with no curb so flow can enter from all sides.  but all the inlet options appear to model assuming there is a curb.  I've thought about simply modeling these as junctions rather than inlets, but i'd like to account for flow through the inlet grate in the calcs.  Any thoughts?  I'm fairly new to SSA so I could be missing something basic here.

thanks!

I would suggest using one of the Neenah Foundry grates included with the software.
