Is open channel option there for links in Civil 3D

Hi 

We intend to create an open stormwater drainage network within Civil 3D using the open channel link option. However we have only pipe type for links when creating the networks and import to SSA for analysis. We had to change each of the link type from pipes to open channels wihtin SSA before the analysis. Is there any option in Civil 3D for creating a network with open channel type for onward analysis within SSA. Or is there any possibility of analysed open channel network to be imported back to Civil 3D? Or any other options?

I do not know of any way to do this but I am sure there is a way. I will be watching this thread closely to see what some of our experts (Fred, Matt, Joe, Bill and others) have to share.
