Import GIS (ArcMap Shapes) as open channel shapes

Hello,

is there a way to import the channel system I created in ArcMap as open channels (shape). If I go trough the GIS import routine, I only get pipes. I don´t want to change the shape of the nodes, as there are more then 500!

Regards Lutz

Hello,

I found a solution to bring at least the depth from the open channel into my model.

Under the menu  - input - you can define the project options. Under element prototypes you can define the conveyance link defaults. Here you can choose the geometry type - rectangular channel. While importing the GIS data you assign the field Diameter (m) with the depth field from your GIS. Now you get the depth with your links.

But still no option for the width!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any ideas?

Greetings Lutz
