Attenuation Pond

Hi Everyone

I have begun using Autcad Civil 3D, and i have to design an attenuation pond, earth walls.

So my issues begin with,

1. how do i create a base in the pond that i can adjust the levels and which way it falls?

2. is there a way in which when i create a feature(pond) with the grading tools that my surface already adjusts with those levels, eg. if the levels are lower than the surface(meaning it will be a Cut), that the surface automatically joins with those levels?

Or is there tools in which you can create ponds in Autocad?

Please Help!

Marques

So where do we start?

Do you know what a feature line is?

Do you know what a grading object is?

Have you had any training or done all the Tutorials included in Civil 3D?

Bill

Hi There

No formal training, been through the grading tutorials, and i understand on hoe to use the tools.

I used to use Microstation and when you create something on there, the surface adjusts accordingly, as said before im not sure if there is something you can do that when you create the feature the surface adjusts.

and also, battling to create a bas that will fall the way i want.
