Adding new data to existing SSA project

Is there a way to add new data to an existing SSA project, such that the new data is properly georeferenced. I need to add subbasins, split some subbasins, add pipes, etc. The only way I've found to do this, is to make the changes in CAD and import to a new SSA file... which I don't want to do. This also loses a lot of data as my open channels, inlet types, etc. are lost in the transition (I'm assuming because such items are not defined in CAD). SSA 2012 Thanks

Also - do inlets not also act as junctions? My inlets are showing as flooded, though the surface inflows are quite small. The data screen for inlets doesn't provide information about depth within the box, just depth on the inlet grate. Do I need to use separate junctions to connect pipes?
