Visual Subassembly Creator

Visual Subassembly Creator

Acquire Section 3D software. Add this visual subassembly creation tool to draw the points and links and assign the constraints.

Much easier to build cross section templates than Subassembly Composer coding.

It builds the same native corridor. All point coding is stored in the sample lines.

Works like Bentley InRoads template creator. This method is more intuitive to the civil design process.

Do you know Subassembly Studio (SaS) from Civil+plus?

I think it is the best.

SAS is still far too complicated coding. With S3D, you draw your template in a custom interface, apply it to station ranges, and bypass the complex SAC or SAS coding. AND, you don't have to deal with the cumbersome View/Edit Corridor Section Tools.

Alowing a user to see and visualize what there section looks like would be great. Personally I love guessing what I did with the LinkToMarkedPoint SA on the left side~.

I have used the InRoads template builder and it seems more intuitive. My subassembly designs look like typical sections.

Sample double ballasted tracks with cant (superelevation) and intelligent end conditions automatically switching for cut/fill and decision making capabilities for retaining walls, fences, ROW.

Something like this should not require the use of a third party software package.
