SAC: Loop Geometry (for Horizontal Target)

SAC: Loop Geometry (for Horizontal Target)

Currently, there is the "Loop Geometry" entity where we can use a surface target if we want.

I would like a new entity : Loop Geometry (horizontal target):

Instead of using a surface target, I need to use a Horizontal target in my custom subassembly.

Moreover, why not a new element called:

SurfaceLink from Loop entities?

In this case, we type the "Loop Number", such as LO1, and we get a surface link from that loop.

I would like to be able to create shapes using some entity from a loop, but I can´t get the links from the loop.( I think that a surface link from a loop is a good way).

Note:

currently there is a bug in SAC 2016 with "loop geometry" if we want to do a slope in CUT without a surface target with, for example, 6 repetitions.

We can do this in Fill (without using a surface target) but it doesn´t work in cut............ LOOOOL

Greetings All,

Have there been any developments to use a Horizontal Target offset? We would use the Horizontal offset along with the Loop Geometry) as a work around for the problems pointed out below.

We would benefit from this since the Surface Links cannot be set between existing points projected to a surface. The surface link has to create it's own points. Another issue two surface links cannot be connected to each other. The shared point between the two surface links would be used to separate two materials within the sub-assembly that "Stops" against the same surface. See image below for reference.

Kind Regards,
