XRef shading for visibility....Need to see the XREF....Help!

Every time I attach an XREF file, the xref drawing is shaded and is very difficult to see.  Please help this frustrated Surveyor that is not a happy camper, having looked through a good deal of the COMMANDS & properties trying to make Xref's more visible, without binding them into my original drawing.  Thanks!

xdwgfadectl controls the amount of fading (0 for no shading, upto 90 for almost invisible).

You can also use TRANSPARENCYDISPLAY to set whether transparency are displayed or ignored.

Ok.

I found it.  It was under the Display Tab

Located in the lower right under Fade Control

Set the Xref Display to 0
