Xref and laylock fade

what are the setting to turn this off? some how I have my workstation set ok but when I use the numbers on my work station elsewhere I do not get the same results.

 

I'd like to have no fade effect at all

Type LAYISO at the command line, then S for Settings, and set to "Off".

 

Or, in the Layer Manager, click the "Settings" button (upper-right, looks like a wrench).

Oops, sorry...  That was the wrong one.

 

The XREF fade control is in the Ribbon, Insert tab -> Reference (click the little downward-pointing triangle).

display tab of options set to 0 or type xdwgfadectl, set to 0.  It's saved in registry, not cui.

You can also change your 'layiso' settings to turn off the layers as opposed to locking them.  This made life much easier on me.
