x-y coordinate question

I am using 2011 version, I am trying to put the x-y coordinate symbol at bottom left as orgin and extend the axis.

But the x-y coordinate keeps going back to bottom left corner, anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you

Yes - it will do that.  (That's a benefit when you're working in state plane coordinates at 1,816,517 - 957,615...)

But you can make your axis lines by using the "line" or "pline" (line or polyline) command:

When you select line or pline (or type the command), it will ask for a starting coordinate:  Enter "0,0".  Then for the second coordinate, turn on "ortho" and draw the line horizontally or vertically from the origin.  Or use the command line to enter in an ortho line.

If you're talking about the UCS icon being set to origin, be sure to export your profile after you change visual settings or system variables. That will prevent the settings from being "Undone". If you're asking why it moves back to the bottom left, that is due to zooming. when the origin is not show in your window, it defaults to the bottom left of your screen.
