wish list

I am sure this is already on the wish list, but I would like to be able to reference two alignments in plan and profile view. This is for label purposes only.

Depends on your definition of signed up. I have been using this discussion group for several months, have sent several drawings to philbrick and company, and many of the issues I have seen are being resolved. Have I directly signed up...no.

Another thing to be added to wish list. Be able to move a structure and have it automatically resize to model.

I wish Civil 3D shipped with a full functioning set of styles and templates. Even if they were not even close to what I might end up with for my location and standards it would at least give you some idea of how the developers planned for us to use software. I found myself going to the tutorial drawings many times to see how they were using styles and sites to do things. Here's an idea, what if the tutorials actually built a crude set of drawings and the styles they used were the default styles that were available when you start to use the program for the first time to develop ones of your own.

I also wish I had a tail ......

Hi,

It's metric, but can give a good view of the sorts of things you can do with
a drawing template.

Thanks Laurie!

That's exactly the kind of styles set up that should have been provided with the software. Even though the unit of measure isn't what I use here in the US I can still glean a lot of useful information on the use of styles and the type of styles I'll need to actually be able to use the product. To me, a functioning set of standards and style settings are worth way more than the software product.

Hi,

I have to agree a drawing template to suit a company's requirements is worth
a lot more than the program.

I'm sure James Wedding could give a ball park idea of what it has cost his
company to set their template up - but maybe it would be embarrassing. I
know Rad has spend huge amounts of time on the one you downloaded.
