Whipthread when using Autodesk Civil 3D

I cant recall what group I saw this in, but it was a comment regarding Whipthread and that one could not utilize whipthread within the afore mentioned software. Moreover, if one had multiple processors as with a quad core, etc, advantage could not be taken of the Whipthread setting which ultimately with a setting to 3, could process REGEN and REDRAW's over different processors, thus taking advantage of the multiple processors.

Can or cannot whipthread be utilized within the AutoCad Civil 3D 2014 enviroinment?

Cannot.

Civil 3d is not a multi-threaded application. Having multiple processors helps some, but Civil 3D does not take direct advantage like 3DS Max does.
