Hi,

Sorry, no answer, just questions 😉

  • have you selected objects? ....maybe more than one and on different layers?
  • Or have you tried _AUDIT and/or _REGEN?
  • Does it appear only in one drawing or in all (also new started from original AutoCAD templates)?
  • Have you restarted the pc after installing SP1?

To answer your questions:

1 Yes and no, does not respond to either showing the current layer or if a layer (object) is selected.

2. No, have tried with multiple drawings, same thing, new from template or an existing pre update drawing.

3. See 2.

4. Numerous times over several days.

Thanks for your response!

Tryed Repair, no change, will reinstall over the weekend and post if success.

Please let us know if the complete re-install fixes the issue.

They are back. Today they work fine. This is several reboots since running repair after which they didn't show.

Note I did not get time to do the reinstall.

So can you confirm if your issue is now resolved or do you still require further assistance.

I look forward to your response.

Rodney, what should Gary select as the solution? None of the posts 'solved' the issue, it seems to have 'fixed itself'. This leads to the questions asked in this thread: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/AutoCAD-Civil-3D/About-quot-Accept-as-Solution-quot/m-p/3247732

Just curious about your thoughts on this.

Thanks!

This apparently solved the issue:

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=15851876&linkID=9240697

While resolving a flickering issue I turned on hardware acceleration and it fixed several things including the white viewcube, the layers tab being blank and the flickering screen. However when this happened I was not concentrating on the Layers tab but the other items mentioned so did not notice immediately.
