Where are all the Styles?

I just installed C3D 2007 last night and there are no Styles except for "Standard" Its been a while, but when I beta tested C3D 2006 it came with some generic standards to start from? Have these generic styles been eliminated from the standard install of 2007, or do I have a botched install?

Also, where are the styles stored? I would like to create/customize a few and make them available to my Draftsmen via a share on our server.

Thanks,

-Jeff

Jeff,

You can download templates from the Autodesk web site (http://tinyurl.com/hbf24). I'm not sure if these are different from what is installed as I have not had time to check them out.

Seems these templates are country specific, unless you are in Japan they will not do you any good.

So Styles are stored in the .DWT file itself?

I'm not sure if thats good or bad.

Good, because its easy to point my Drafters Template Path to a Share on our server.

Bad, because it limits control. I won't be able to add just a single style like a Countour Labe Style to my current drawing.

If I'm wrong about the "Bad" please let me know. It would be nice to be able to import specific styles as needed without creating a new drawing from a template.

Thanks,

-Jeff

yes they are stored in the dwt.

if you like a style that you make in your current drawing, you can drag it
into your .dwt for future use.

Drag & Drop, my friend. You can pick any style from any drawing and
drag it to another drawing.

So, no bad. Good?
