Hi,

we have an application that has traffic-signs and functionality for markings according to Austrian government regulations.

As it's very flexible you are right you can adopt most parts to your country-specific rules, But to be honest: it's a lot of work!

I would be interested in if there is such a thing for North America. I'm guessing there isn't. You'll need to do this the hard way. Never enough budget for signage is there.

I am working on a custom street sign program, and there are some competitors out there like SignCAD and Guidsign.  I also know of a pavement marking program for AutoCAD, but I haven't used it.  What are you wanting to the software to do?  What is your upper budget limit?  SignCAD and Guidsign are pretty expensive if you only use them occationally.  Mine will be cheaper, but isn't available yet and won't have the polish the others have.

You can use KeyLines for roadmarking and KeySign for signage. This is from keysoft solutions
