What do I need to install with all these cds?

I have received a cd for Survey 2006, a cd for civil 3d companion, and a set
of disks that look like civil 3d and land along with a disk for converting
dgn files. Question is what do I really need here. It all looks the same to
me. I don't need all the high power stuff just need the same as I had with
2005 land. Which ones should be installed first? Thanks for the help if you
can.

If you're not going to use Civil 3D then just install Land, the Civil Deisgn
Companion, and Survey. You aren't required to install Civil 3D. I haven't
looked at the DGN installer yet, but I imagine you could install that only
if you wanted to.

Hi Kyle - please be very clear when you use a product name. That'll help us
answer the question! I think this is what you're asking about...

Civil 3D - Civil Design Companion:
This is the installation program for Civil Design. This will work on the LDT
Companion that you got in the Civil 3D box.

Civil 3D - Land Desktop Companion:
This is the installation program for LDT 2006 (licensed as Civil 3D). You
should install this if you're planning on continuing to use the 2006 LDT,
Civil Design and Survey environment.

Cheers

Here is how it works. All disks start with a label of Civil 3D. If it
only says Civil 3D (no dash) then it's Civil 3D. Now if it has a dash (-
Civil Design Companion or - Land Desktop) it goes with LDD, right ?. No
Wait, we have another disk here that just says Survey (no dash). Go Figure!
