Welcome to the Autodesk Civil 3D discussion group

Welcome to the Autodesk Civil 3D Discussion Group. This forum will be a

The preview release of Autodesk Civil 3D 2004 exciting new concepts such as:

- persistent, dynamic relationships between elements within your model
- drafting that remains up to date as any changes are made to either a
drafting style or the model
- style-based system to help you set and enforce drafting and design
standards. Styles are also key in helping you complete finished submittal
drawings more quickly
- dynamic layout and analysis functionality that greatly streamlines the
process of exploring design alternatives while also providing you with the
ability to complete finish drafting or detailed design analysis and reports

This introductory release is intended to help you begin exploring the
concepts and capabilities of Autodesk Civil 3D so that you can prepare for
its use on production projects. We recommend that you use Autodesk Civil 3D
for non-production work at this time. The focus of this preview release is
to allow you to learn and understand the Autodesk Civil 3D software product,
including an understanding of the base concepts and any data
interoperability issues between Autodesk® Land Desktop or Autodesk® Civil
Design 2004 and this preview version of Autodesk Civil 3D 2004.

We look forward to working closely with all of you as you begin working with
Autodesk Civil 3D 2004. Look for future posts to help you ease your way into
