VP freeze XREF'd images

I have two drawings (call them A and B). In each of those drawings (A and B) there is an image xref'd. Those two drawings are xref'd into another drawing (call it C). In drawing C I have two viewports. In one VP all layers from drawing B are VP frozen. In the other VP all layers from drawing A are VP frozen. However, the images both always display, and the only one on top is visible. Please help! I need to have different background images in each of my viewports.

Nevermind, some glitch with xrefs. Re-xref'd the drawing giving me problems and all is right with the world.
