Visibility check workflow/problem (Airport Taxiway)

Hello!

The text below should give a bit of background to my problem

"Recommendation.— Where a change in slope on a taxiway cannot be avoided, the change should be such that, from any

point:
— 3 m above the taxiway, it will be possible to see the whole surface of the taxiway for a distance of at least 300 m from
that point, where the code letter is C, D, E or F;"

I've created a profile of the surface for an existing taxiway, I've created a copy of that profile and elevated it 3 meters. I don't know what to do next.

I've used the visibility check command in Civil 3d but I'm not sure of the method. I want to set the visibility height to 0.0. because of the text above.

Any suggestions?

Sincerely

Review Visibility Checker and sight distance.

In Prospector, expand the Surfaces branch, right click on the Runway surface, chose the select option

On the TIN Surface contexutal tab, analyz panel, choose Visibility Check, Zone of Visual Influence

At the specify location of opject prompt enter the location of where the view is from

At the specify height of object prompt, enter 3 for 3m

Specify the radus of vision extent per the requirements needed.

Green means the 3m location is completely visible which is what you want.

Yellow means patially visible

Red indicates not visible

The sight distance can be set to 3m

and the target to zero

and then the resulting arrow shows where the intersection is if any.

Thank you! Your soultion works perfectly for the proposed profile which doesn't have a as many PI's as the existing profile.

There are about 300 PI's in the existing profile where the slope changes. This makes your suggested solution quite tedious.

More suggestions workflows are appriciated 🙂

I have similar question. If anybody can help us. I think it is related to profile layout design criterias. How can we create a  criteria file to take care of this problem? What would be the line codes to put in that file?
