viewport scale

I double click in the viewport; under misc the annotated scale is in the list but not the standard scale.  I want to set the scale for the viewport.  Why doesn't the standard scale show as on option?  Or, how to I set the scale in my viewport?

I'm using autocad LT 2008

Not sure what button you have there but it should be there

It's possible your viewport is locked & needs to be unlocked so your able to select from your vp scales list?

I must be missing the concept.  My other drawing scale changes correct under the standard scale setting.  My current drawing has pasted figures.  Maybe something is going on that will only allow these to be shown an annotated.  Still stuck with a drawing I can't scale.

I solved the problem by using the annotated setting on the right side of the tool bar.

Not an LT user but in straight acad....
Select viewport>properties palette>on or off or
Select Viewport right click Menu>display locked or
Paddle lock icon down next to viewport scale list on bottom rt of screen.
