View Surface

I'm new to Civil 3d. I created a surface and it automatically showed an outline of my surface. I would select the outline and right click to turn off and on contours, slope arrows, and etc. Well I have turned off all the layers and I don't know how to show or edit my surface since I don't have any portion of the surface to right click on.

In the Prospector. Expand the surfaces tree and right click on the name of
the surface - check out the Properties...

I did that and it shows four tabs. Information, Definition, Analysis, and Statistics.

this is what i was doing before but now there is nothing to selece since i turned all the layers off.

Select your surface, right click, choose edit surface style.

In the Information tab, what is your default surface style?
Change it or go to Settings > Surface Styles and edit the style display from there. Done.

Information Tab shows the style being used - edit the style (see Surface.png
attached). This will open another dialog - change visibility settings on
the Display tab (see Display.png attached).

Before digging any deeper, I'd highly recommend running through the
tutorials found in the Help menu.

Cool, i found the properties box i was looking for and in the preview it looks and works great. So how do I get the line work (surface) into my DWG.

It's already there, turn on the contours. If you want the triangles, turn
them on instead. If you need to edit the surface, open the surface in the
Prospector until you see "Edits."

Civil 3D doesn't remotely look, act, or feel like Land Desktop; again, I'd
highly recommend the tutorials, they won't take you but a couple hours, and
will save you tons of typing 😉

First rule of Civil 3D
"It is not Land Desktop"

Second Rule of Civil 3D
"It is not Land Desktop"

Is the third rule "You do not talk about Land Desktop?"

I got to sleep last night. I'm feeling punchy.
