View/Edit Corridor Section Bug (2013)

I have just discovered that if an alignments stationing is large i.e. 1000+00, and you build a corridor , the view/edit corridor sections "skips" over certain sections.

As a matter fact, the larger the number, the larger the gap between sections.

Autodesk, Please look into..

Is this similar to my issue I had?

Yes.

I think they broke the view/edit section editor in 2012 and has yet to be fixed.

If I attempt this in 2011 it works fine.

engrtech,

Did you open a support request? (as you indicated you would in the other post). What was the solution?

My SR was closed and sent to development saying that they "...confirmed this issue outside of your data and that [it] has been logged with Development for further review'.  That was in the middle of March.  In other words, it's a bug they know about but apparently wasn't fixed with 2013.

For my project I had to change the frequency of my corridor from 25' to 50', then manually add the 25' stations to the freqency.  I was lucky in that I only had about 10 I had to add, but for a project with hundreds of sections this isn't a feasible workaround.

I've seen the same thing in 2012, but found that if you start the corridor view/editor by selecting the actual section you are trying to edit it will work properly, at least for that individual one.

SBoon,

Can you test this and get back to me?

Make a simple alignment (Use Start Station of 1000+00), profile and assembly.

Create a Corridor, add a couple "odd" stations like 1000+11 and 1000+12.

See if you can view them in the Corridor Section Editor.

Thanks.

That wouldn't work for me.  When I selected the actual section and went into the view section editor the editor was blank because there was no data to display.

Yes. That is the bug.

It works in 2011, but not in 2012 or 2013
