Video card issue?

We have several users who are having issues with their monitors. From time to time when using Civil 3D the monitor will flicker or flash. All of these users have Dell Precision T3400's with a Quadro FX 570 video card. Per Dell's instructions, we have updated the video drivers on these machines but the issue still occurs. This seems to only happen on systems with dual monitors. Has anyone else had this problem?

I am not 100% sure, but I do "flicker" abit in 2009, esp during a selection. Most of the "flicker" is near the BIG C.

I did "catch" it in a screen video capture...I will have to find it.

I have seen this happen in two instance:

1) The Properties palette is active (it may be set to autohide; the flicker still happens). Closing the Properties palette makes it go away.

2) It flickers when certain controls update in other programs. Don't know if this also has something to do with video card or not; it happens on all our systems, but all our systems use nVidia graphics cards. For example, a key thing that causes the flicker is the "Forcastfox" plugin in Firefox. Every time Forcastfox displays a weather update, C3D toolbars and menus flicker. This only happens in the 2009 release of Autocad, and does not seem to occur in any other program (including the 2008 release of Autocad).

Ensure that the driver version you have is certified by Autodesk for
AutoCAD/Civil 3D.

Also make sure that the resolution & refresh rate is set correctly and
does not exceed the monitor's recommended setting, especially if you are
using analog monitors.

Sinc-

Yes. It is the properties pallette - docked yet hidden. I have two flat screen monitors, and using a certified driver too.

I've attached the snag of what I saw and was able to capture...sometimes a slow computer helps.

I was selecting a surface elevation marker...the more items I select - the more it "flickers"

I have a Dell and dual monitors (not sure about vid card). I don't have issues until I am in layout and moving viewports. I HATE arranging viewports in 09. If I have many to do I just open 08 and do it there. Works fine there.
