using ViewCube tool leads to crash

I often get a crash after using the ViewCube tool to pick front view while in top view (today I was in tilemode 1, in a fairly simple 3D drawing). I didn't see any past posts on this. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Is your video card certified by Autodesk? From the Command prompt, type 3dConfig. Press View Tune Log. The report will tell you.

After you close the tune log, press Manual Tune and turn off Hardware Acceleration. Does that reduce the crashing?

Must be some other issue. The computer was already set up as you described. But thank you for the suggestion.

This looks lot like the issue described here: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=15851876&linkID=9240697

Do you by any chance run Civil 3D 2011?

In any case, I would suggest to tun on/off hardware acceleration as already suggested and see if you notice any difference. The next step would be to check your graphic drivers. There should be a link on that page, as well.
