Using Civil 3D Data Management

Some engineers separate data project to have better performance with civil 3d, (like the surfaces, alignments, pipe networks, Production Drawings ...).

Is that very efficient?  What is the best way to do that?

Thank you very much.

several factors come into play. Like...

-how many people will be working on civil 3d objects?

-how many people will be creating sheets and labeling objects?

-a complex model would require breaking objects out into individual files even though the project area may be small.

-a simple model could be the result of a project that is just mass grading of a large site; this could be in fewer files.

So the quick answer is... it depends on the scale and scope of the project. If you already break things up into separate files, then you will continue to do the same thing, but maybe add a few files for civil 3d data objects you might data reference.

Thanks
