Uneditable PI gray triangles

When drawing feature lines in a surface model I occasionally get gray triangle PI's that cannot be edited.  I tried creating the feature lines several different ways with the same results.  I've got an existing surface and 1 that I'm modeling.  Any thoughts?

Featurelines that cross other featurelines in the same site will create uneditable PI's at the xing. This is due to featurelines having just 1 elevation where they meet. 2 choices, don't let them cross OR place them in different Sites.(Note that parcel segments will also affect f/l's in the same manner).

Found the problem - I had orginally tried using a different feature line style - when it didn't show up I changed styles and created a new Feature line - found that the style I had originally tried had its visibility bulb off - turned it on and as you said the grey triangles were at the crossings.  Thanks for the help.

One more option. You can also add a PI or Elevation Point on the Feature line if one desires elevation control at the crossing.
