Unable to save drawing first time

I have a drawing checked out of vault, and when I try to save it, it tells me "Unable to save drawing . Drawing saved to C:\Civil Projects 3D\dwg\(some arbitrary name).tmp" I press Save again, and it saves it the second time! This only happens to one particular drawing checked out of vault - doesn't happen on title blocks, details sheets, blocks, etc. that aren't being checked in and out of Vault, or in the project folder. Have run Audit and Recover - no errors. Any ideas?
Civil 3D 2010 Version 3
Dual Xeon, Windows Vista Business 64-bit
8GB RAM

It sounds like something else is accessing the drawing while you are saving the drawing, don't work with vault much so I don't know what could be doing it.

Have you found a solution? I'm facing the exact same problem...

I tried to disable anti virus which did not help..

I am also having this problem.  I'm not working with vault.

I've been tring to narrow it down, but no luck.  I have sent this drawing out to our reseller and they could not duplicate the problem.  Seems to have something to do with pipes in a drawing with data shortcuts coming into it.  Only happens with 1 drawing.

Our reseller took this to cad micro solutions.  Still no luck.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
