Two profiles views - one plan view on same sheet.

Two Profiles Views - One plan on same sheet.

Currently working on plan -profile of road with ditch on each side, client want to show whole road in plan view. Then show two profile view below of each of ditches. I am stumped trying to get TWO profile view templetes (I guess this is what I am trying to say) . Thank you for any help.

Best bet, and probably what they are asking for, is a profile of the center of the road.  All you need to do is create the center line profile then do a superimposed profile of the ditches into the center.

Keep in mind this means you will need 3 profiles.  You can actually delete the profile view panels after if you want to save on space and know you will never need them.  More over if you don't want the centerline profile, just create the view and turn off the centerline profile.  Just make sure they know those profiles are "Superimposed @ Center" so the can accomodate for position of the centerline and not the ditch itself.  Last thing you want is your ditch to not cover the volume the engineer designed it for in certain areas.  That would be bad.

As an alternative method, you can just create your LT & RT ditch profiles right on the profile view for your centerline profile.  I've attached a file that you can look at to see how they're labeled. All of the labeling shows the profile name and the flowline at the CL stationing and offset.

Here is what I am trying to get too. The part showing the two profiles of the ditches. North ditch and south ditch of an existing road to show up on one sheet.

Natively you can't do that in Civil 3D. You could do it manually, but it would be alot of work.

viewports.... place the two profiles in model space and create viewports over each in paperspace layout.  Not difficult.

Exactly what I was going to suggest.  Just go old school and cut the profiles.  Plan production tools make a mess of everything anyway.  Tryin to get your grid to go edge to edge is not always possible.
